Hi,
I did an amatuer frame up restoration on my 100-6 years ago and have been driving it ocassionally since. It came with an overdrive unit that I would like to install. I recently purchased a nice used overdrive type mainshaft and will have time in a couple of months to install. The overdrive looks really clean and sound and the solenoid seems to work well when applying power from my battery charger. I need advice on how to install the overdrive mainshaft and the overdrive unit on the tranny and what electrical are parts needed (switches, harness, relay, etc.) and where to find reasonably priced ones. Thanks in advance for any advice.
Best Regards,
Chuck Keeler

Chuck, the best thing is to study the sections in the manual a few times before you get out the wrenches. Go through the transmission and overdrive sections, study the "blow up" pictures to familiarize yourself with the parts, and clean off a long section of your workbench. Laying the parts out in the order they were removed may help with the reassembly.

For reference pictures, here are some I took when recently building a xmsn for my own car: https://www.rfdm.com/gallery/album144 within that album, are six (6) sub-albums, wherein lie all the detailed shots of assembly.

Keep us posted on your progress, and ask questions as you go along, there are many people here that'll be able and willing to help.

Based on the pictures and looking at my manual...I'm going to need a bigger workbench!
Thanks for the replies and advice.
