installing glove box door

I purchased a 77 B about 3 weeks ago. The PO had basically done a complete restore including a rebuild on the engine. A few things still need to be completed. One of the new items was the dash. Brand new, nice and black, but the opening for the glove box is covered over. The box of bits came with a glove box door and hinges. I have no instructions and am terrified to make a mistake and ruin the dash. Can this be done with the dash in place? is there metal to cut? I don't have the upper catch or the box, but can I still install the door for looks until I get the catch and box? Were there any instructions that came with the dash, or does any body have any pictures...??

Thanks

Check out the MOSS catalogue. The dash for a 77 should have an opening. The dash on the 68 to 71 did not have any glove box. (guess they didn't wear golves during those years). Are you sure it's the correct dash for a "77"? Is there a hole in the metal dash, under the covering, where the glove box fits?

Yes I have the hole under the dash cover. I have figured it out. I have found all the mounting holes under the new vinyl. I will be installing it in the next day or so..
