Installing Body Mouldings

My 67' Midget had all the body mouldings removed by the P.O.- looks like they filled the holes with braze, which is disturbing in itself...

Anyways I would like to install a new moulding kit from Moss - I can get a close guess on mounting locations from the backside of some of the panels & then map out the mounting areas on the paint side -

Wondering if this is a really silly task to take on or if anybody has done this before & have some suggestions.

Thanks

probably a lot easier if you can figure out a way to do it with adhesive

Yes I have thought of that... if I could get it to sit flush...

I notice that 40 clips total are required to fasten the moulding - can anyone tell me how many clips per panel ? Fender, A-Post, Door, Rear Wing ?

Obviously 20 per side, just not sure how they are distributed... a pic of a car with the trim removed with the clips or clip holes would be great so I have a guess at the spacing (how far in from each edge, evenly spaced etc.)

Thanks in advance

is it possible to fill the backs with a high density foam and then adhesive on top of that?
