gliderman, thats my neck of the woods, brighton beach and coney island were three or four short bus stops from my house and irresistable locations for playing hooky, lots of characters in that area, as kids we would float in the water along the sheepshead bay foot bridge that crosses into brighton beach, as pedestrians came by wed ask if they had any change to spare, most of them would toss coins in the water and the kids would dive to retrieve them, on a good weekend a kid could make over $200.00. yes, plenty of characters indeed.

I must admit that is also very near to where I grew up so I'm familiar with the area.

I'm on your side Doc.
My idea of exercise is gettin' up from the couch and goin' to the fridge to get another beer.
After that , anything I do is necessity.
