Hi guys.

Was lookin through ebay today.
Found a few cheap supercharger kits that may be useable for an mgb.

I found an add for a "electric supercharger"

heres the add.
elec supercharger

It seems he is advertising it for cheap ppl like me that want to keep up with faster forced induction cars. My question is... are these "electric superchargers" essentially a big wank?

It says it blows 2.1 psi, im guessing this kind of induction figure is hardly knowtesable?

Whats other pplz opinion on this?

Could it be better implemented with a larger more powerful impeller?

Cheers Jarrod

The "electric supercharger" you're referring to is nothing more than a fan used to blow out engine compartment fumes on an inboard/outboard boat. It will do nothing to enhance the performance of your car. I wouldn't waste my money on it, that's for sure. Be very carful adding electrical "stuff" to your MG. The factory alternator is barely sufficient to handle the load. If you start doing stereos, electric fans, amps, etc. you can run into problems unless you upgrade your alternator.
