Indiana: 2005 Purdue Grand Prix Car & Truck Show

Since 1958 Purdue University has been home to the “greatest spectacle in college racing”, the Purdue Grand Prix. This 50-mile race takes place on a track carefully modeled after the World Kart Championship track in Japan. Since 1999 the Purdue Automotive Performance Association has sponsored a car show in conjunction with the Grand Prix event. Our peak attendance was in 2003 with approximately 90 cars, this was diminished in 2004 due to the threat of rain but we hope to have over 100 at the 2005 show, which takes place April 23, 2005. There will be several judged classes, with awards going to the top 2 cars in each class. There will also be a prize for two “best of show” winners, as well as many other awards. In addition, we WILL have restrooms this year, and we are planning to have food and entertainment, either a local radio station, local DJ's, or a live band.

For more information as well as registration packets and online registration please visit our website at https://web.ics.purdue.edu/~papa/papa.pl?page=grandprix.
