Indentification engine and gearbox

Hello,

I was wondering how I can determine which engine is in my BN 7 (indentification plate is gone) and from the pevious owner I know it is not the original engine. The engine has the two carbs in an angle.

The gearbox is the type non overdrive( sideshifter) and the best I can read in the casting is AEC 3415 and a 2 under digit 3

and then upside down 21 EO

I didn't figure out yet how to post a picture to clarify

Look forward to the input

Harry

Hi Harry, The gear box number is stamped on the RH side of the gear box along the side the oil filler. Can you tell us what the AUC number is found on a small metal tag attached to the carbs??---Fwiw--Keoke
