I was changing out the cold start injector and The wires in the plug broke off. I tried to get the little clips out, but I don't think they are too usable. They are about a 1/2" long, with 4 "fingers" that grab the terminals on the injector. Does anybody know of a source for these clips? Looked in the Vicky Brit catalog, and didn't see anything that would work.

Try Wedgeparts or TSI.

Also, Porsche 912, a lot of BMWs and some volvo's, amongh others, used the same basic FI system.

hey obi
i don't know about the 7's but on my eight the clip was the same as the fuel injector clips i used one of another car i got from my mechanic works great...if not try wedgeparts.com he has a few ods and ends

Kind of a longshot, but try an autoparts store. A lot of them have an assortment of clips in the electrical aisle. (I know autozone sells packs of Ford, GM, and Chrysler terminals). You may get lucky and find one that's close enough to work.

since they use bosch fuel injection in many other makes (like volvo, saab, porche, bmw), shouldn't be too hard to locate

If it's bosch FI (obviously my knowledge of TR7s is lacking), then EVERYBODY used it. Go to the junkyard, and look for the first European car from the 80s you see. Even Rabbits had K-Jet.

Thanks for all the advice! After calling about a half dozen of the normal sources for parts with most of them saying "huh?" when I asked for a "standard Bosch 2 pin FI connector, I finally found a local shop that not only knew what it was but said "I've got a bunch." So car is back together, and best of all, on a relatively cool morning, started right up the way it should. There's joy in Utah Triumph-land again...think I'll go for a drive

Glad you found the part quickly.

Thats the nice thing about the TR7 and TR8 FI system. The L-Jet system was used in millions of cars, so all the little bits and pieces are easy to come by.

i purchased a book on bosch l-tronics fi from motorbooks.co.uk. has diagrams of all variations even japanese versions. i'll have to read it one day.
