Improving late 70's midget ?'s

I am going to help a friend do some maint and upgrades on a 1978 Midget.

I was thinking about an alternator upgrade and adding an auxilary electric fan.

Does anyone have suggestions (which parts to use) and/or pictures of these upgrades?

I have a '76 and installed a GM delco alternator. Instructions here:

the alternator is a little big but it was a direct bolt in. I have had no temp issues with a recored rad and a new water pump and cleaned heater matrix but, it's up to you. I also put relays on the headlights and horn

The Midget does not have a horn relay?

Think Spridgets have no relays.

The Midget does not have a horn relay?

As Jack says, the only relay I am aware of on a Midget is the solenoid

Actually jack, wasn't trying to "get you" at all - was confirming what you said but as I typed realized solenoid is a relay but rarely considered as such.
