Improved throttle linkage

I am looking for a way to improve the throttle linkage on a 57 MGA. It currently uses a cable but goes directly straight down which seems to cause binding on the cable as it kinks.

I envision a small roller bracket to help it make the 90 degree turn at the manifold.

Photos would be helpful.

You shouldn't need anything special. There are thousands, perhaps tens of thousands of MGAs on the road that don't have a binding problem. Are you sure your cable is routed correctly, and the linkage set up the right way around?
