I'm writing articles for Moss Motoring Magazine

Country flag
Offline
The fall 2012 editon fo Moss Motoring magazine will have the first article in a series, written by your's truely about engine rebuilding. the first article will be about engine disassembly, and how to properly inspect your engine during this part of the process, a often over looked part of the process, Thought I would give you all a heads for those that may be interested.

I thought maybe you were going to ask for our input. We can provide lots of bad examples. I'm capable of screwing things up in ways that no one could have ever imagined.

Can't wait to see it, Hap

I now for sure it will apear in the Moss Motoring magazine, and I'm sure end up on the tech pages on the website as well. One nice perk for doing businss with Moss, is they send you the quartly Moss Motoring magazines, and it always has some interesting articles in it.

I can't wait to read this!
I hope that delightful SC southern drawl and wit
will come through the pages.

I just hope that he has better luck with editors than I do. They always seem to cut the interesting stuff or edit out important details. If they edit it heavily you should ask that they provide a link to read the full article online.

That's awesome!

Don't forget about the 1500.

Shawn Carlberg at Moss did a excellent job of editing, he is alot like you guys, he is no stranger to a MG, or British engine, but still a novice rebuilder, so he would come back to me, and ask me to clarify things, often times a guy like me, will state something I don't realize the average reader may not know what I was talking about, so he would ask all the right questions and we would rewrite this, or that sentence to make it read more clearly to a novice. I didn't have any tear down pictures, if you can imagine, this is something I never took pictures of, well those guys at Moss got a dirty, grimey old MGB engine and tore it down using my article, took pictures, and as they would get to point where something wasn't clear, they would call me, we would go over it, and then to another rewrite. To say Moss put their passion into this on their end would be understatement, they did a great job and if anything made me look better on paper. I'm real proud of the job, and the article we did working on this closely together.

Glad to hear that they worked with you AND glad that you worked with them.

I had a disappointing day at work today. Then I came home, read this thread and it truly is a positive thing for people like us and especially for Hap. A nice ending to my day! Like everyone else here, I look forward to reading your article Hap. :yesnod:

Congrats Hap! I'm looking forward to reading the article when it comes out.

Just read mine tonight. Excellent! Great job!

Got it yesterday and skimmed through but have not read yet. Looks really nice though and will get to it today when I have time to really absorb it. Congratulations and thanks Hap.
