Not posted on here for a while, Healey has been tucked up safe and sound for the winter.

It was a tough decision to buy the Healey, part of me wanted a vintage car, so we've decided to sell.

I advertised it on here, where else? should I try ebay?

Yes I think UK E-bay would be a good place to list it. Pick up the OZ group too. Now get a Daimler 250 V8.--Keoke-- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

OPS, Better get an LD 10--- /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

You wanted a "vintage" car, huh? Your BN1 is over 50 years old. How old does a car have to be to qualify for "vintage"? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif I guess by vintage you mean "pre-war"?

Seriously though, if I had a Healey in the UK, and it was for sale, I'd probably first try the club there. I think there's always a ready market for good Healeys o'er there, and not just a bunch of brokers looking to flip it for a quick quid.

eBay is a world of its own with pitfalls for both buyers and sellers, although if you put a reserve on it you can hardly go too far wrong.

If those avenues don't work for you, send me a brief description and a good photo and I'll run it in Healey Marque where it will be seen by nearly 4,000 Austin-Healey Club of America members across the USA and Canada.

Good luck!

In England, a vintage car has to be made before 1931. Thus spake the Vintage Sports Car Club, who started the vintage movement in the mid-30s sometime - I cannot remember when.
They do recognise some Post Vintage Thoroughbreds, and other classifications, though.
But not Austin Healeys, of any age.

You could advertise in Revcounter, the UK Austin Healey Club magazine. Non members price is first 30 words for ÂŁ15 and thence 30p a word extra.

Post to:

How much do you want for the healey and do you have some pics? I may know some people here in HK who might be interested. You can only drive RHD here, so a UK car is perfect.
