MGC I'm looking for a great MGC

[ QUOTE ]
Well, then, look at this one & see if you can see the signs that point to more miles than the owner asserts

After you've looked for a bit, I'll give you a couple of hints....

Well heres what I've got....not really certain whether these are enough to be certain of the mileage being invalid but it's a start:
-Front Bumper looks a little 'rough' for a 4000 mile car...the bumper on my highmileage 80 looks better than that.
-Might just be my screen, but those wheels look repainted(wasn't the original colour a medium charcoal grey?)
-Not an expert at this but some of those engine hoses don't look routed properly
-ignition wires are not original...why would u need to replace those if it's only got 4000m?
-Possible repaint?? I remember Tony saying something about a metal flake in the original LE paint, I don't see any in these pics.

Thats all I got....whats left on the list Tony? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

...look at the screws holding the shift boot - they're chrome & should be painted black; look at the steering wheel logo as its crooked

....I'll let you guys continue looking for other little things (they're there)

u sure about those shifter bolts? I think my LE has them chrome as well....I can't recall what the 78's have

I'll have to look at the screws on my '79 when I get home...but I do know the ar pump wasn't painted black on my '79 when I bought it!
