Howdy all! Sorry to invade the MG boards -- I'm usually over with the Triumphs.

I've decided to expand the collection, and I'm looking for a good solid MGC roadster. Not concours, but a good strong driver/older restoration, with everything in original order (as much as possible). Anyone looking to part with a C?

Thanks!

S'okay, Bill.... we're a fairly tolerant lot over here... 'cept mebbe th' jaybird. She seems to have a 'thing' against 'rumphies. Well, SOME 'rumphies, anyway. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

Bill,
There was a beautiful one up here on Sunday in Ancaster for sale. It was a little pricey though. Actually.. a lot pricey. But that is according to my bank account. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Maybe someone else that went, that reads this board remembers a number or something.
I will give a shout to a fellow I know who was vending right across from it.

Dang Paul.

I must have had too much java this morning or something. I had to re-read that more times than a Keenan post. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was there...Not sure if I even remember the car...was it a GT? Good event though...got some much needed TR6 parts, and some MGB stuff I just couldn't resist.

Oh and welcome to the MG side Bill, from a fellow 'converty'

yup. the vernacular is no problem. Paul was trying out some James Joyce sentence structure or somethin... just couldn't grok the understandinment...

I'm better now - figured another couple of cups of coffee might get me back on keel.

Like mom always said: "If a little bit is good - a LOT must be better!"

Sorry Jim. I wrote it in Canadian. I should have rit it in 'Merican. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Tha's "Merkin" Paul.

Bill....a C will round out your collection nicely....make sure all the C-unique stuff's there & in good working condition...& because of the torsion bars as they hook up to the body, rust is even more a problem for them than even in a B.

Nope. Meant merkin. Just like th' Google thingie says. Long afore Google there was a Hieronymus Merkin...

You were correct R6MGS. What the heck is your name anyway?

Asked Don and he refreshed my memory, as did my wife when I asked her. It was a GT, and a beautiful one at that. It was listed on Ebay, but the auction ended.

Sorry for false information. (I could swear there was no roof) /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

I thought so....I only quickly glanced at it...when I see a car that clean I get scared to look at the price.

BTW: It's R-6-MG's....kinda out of date thou, should be R6MGS+TR......The next time SWMBO tells me to sell a car I'll tell her I can't cuz it'll set off my BCF screename /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hey Bill,
What the heck are you doing over here on the MG board? (for that matter, what am I doing here. Slumming I guess.) See if you can search the forum back several months to find the threads where I had "rescued" a stolen MGC roadster that had been stolen from New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. The car is back safe with it's owner. During my research by Google on the MGC (to see what the heck it was!), I found that it is truly a niche car that has a very dedicated following. Cool car. The rescue car I found was registered in Louisiana but had Maryland plates in the boot. From what I did find, you will have to dig kinda deep to get a good one. There just aren't that many out there.
