....GLOBAL WARMING, MY FOOT!!

Got out & walked around my property to stretch my legs after the flight. There was an unseasonally late heavy frost that killed all my crepe myrtles, fruit trees, azaleas, roses, decorative bushes, couple of magnolias, camelias, wysteria, grape vines plus lots of other bushes! 13 to 15 years of growth gone! Thousands of dollars worth of plants wasted!! @#&*!

But on the brighter side: my garage is full of boxes of parts from Moss & VB! And my new overhead door screens arrived while I was gone as did the caster setup to lift & move my 4-post lift around in the garage.....so, I've got lots to do tomorrow!
 
Your retirement is busier than the meaty part of my law career.
 
That stinks. All that work you thing you are safe and zip, all gone. My condolences..

tropics is called for? A house for sale directly

Well, talked with a master gardener who lives in the neighborhood - she said most of them will come back but from the bottom...so, even though I'll lose all the maturity of manyof them, they'll grow back.
 
Sorry about your mature growth. We frequently have our fruit trees tricked into blossoming only to be frozen by a frost, or snowstorm, in late April.
 
at least they'll grow back. just gotta wait more years for the fruits again.
 
When you get those screens installed...please send pics!!!!
 
Installed them this evening as the sun was setting - putting the last touches on them tomorrow...photos then.
