Is a beautiful day for sure here in North Florida. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

go ahead rub it in it is raining here in Toronto

I went for a cruise at lunch today. Today is my day in the Saturday rotation. Too nice to be inside.

Yeah, rub it in! It's gorgeous here, (Asheville, nc) all clear, crisp weather, I have a new clutch assy to play with....and I think everyone in the entire county's sick, myself included. I'm on my way to the supermarket to fight over the last box of theraflu as we speak...:: sighs ::

Been messing with the shocks on my minivan, now that's done, I will be tearing up the parkway to get naan bread for tonights dinner. I hope Kenny asks.....

REALLY wanted to go for a drive today....

50 degrees, raining-overcast and depressing....Think I'll go to the garage sit in it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Ha! rub it in. I got the drivers side seat recovered and its beautiful so I spent the rest of the day tearign apart the moldy, rusty passenger side. In the meantime, my car is still being ripepd apart by the Auto restoraiton shop. Not sure if they started the sanddown and repaint yet but I am getting antsy! Winter is near here and I hope i will live to see it drive!!

I spent most of the beautiful fall day we had today in the attic installing a fan for our bathroom. Then I mixed up some concrete to make a new base for our mailbox. Tunebug stayed in the garage, in part because the street in front of our driveway is torn up--a big hole that blocks all but 3' of our driveway. We have to go over the neighbors yard to get out.

Nice to get a few things done, but I'd rather be driving the Tunebug!

I went out and bought a BIG air compressor today /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. AND, dear wife didn't kick a bit (it'll get used on her Bugeye).
Neat thing to have...

Don

Jack - I saw Ricky today....he wants me to bring over all the hardware for hanging Miss Agtha's doors monday.....he wants to test hang them, I guess.

Hey Drew did you vent the fan outside? 'cause they say now you should because if you don't it will draw the moisture from the bathroom and put it in the attic which is not good for the timber there. P.S. mine is vented to the attic and has been for 35 years.

I had help from my father-in-law, and he steered me right. We vented it through some 4"aluminium piping from the fan to the soffit (which is vented to the outside). Seemed a reasonable method. I can't imagine working up in an attic in the summer--it was only about 70 here and it was really hot up there.

Thanks Tony, that's exciting. You have hinges, I have latches, but then he does not need latches. Please show him what part of the inter doors need clear coat like the exterior. Hope he clear coats the engine room as well.

Put everything but the windshield, rear view morror and the tonneau studs on yesterday. Today is Bugeye memoribilia hanging day.

75 to 80 and sunny in KC. Drove my wife 20 m iles on the interstate for breakfast just so she could experience the 3.9 dif. I just put in. 70 is 3500 rpm and the car is a lot quieter. This afternoon I picked up a buddy and we drove aroundtown and ended up at an Octoberfest party and finished the day with some darts at his house. A grand day and the bugeye ran great.

Re: I'm not happy

Day turned very beautiful and I wanted so badly to work on Ms. Triss. Instead got to refinish the kitchen table after I ruined the finish with carb cleaner rebuilding the carb. Darling wife was very clear "No table - No Car" On the other hand, got to test my sander on the fender. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

On the same subject, was at church and talking with my very good friend. Darling wife was explaining the carb cleaner - table incident and he replies "even I know that carb cleaner will ruin the finish" Don't you hate it when someone breaks the "man code?" of solidarity. Now I have to take a contract out on him. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif Sigh - I loose more friends that way.

Re: I'm not happy

If he is so smart he is prob rich as well. Keep him as a friend.

Re: I'm not happy

Every wife around here knows you rebuild carbs on the kitchen table.

Of course people here wear ties with plaid shirts.

Re: I'm not happy

I'm not even allowed in the dining room, she's not allowed in the den. Fair trade.

JP, how was the carb rebuild? How long did it take? Etc....?
