I'm glad my cardiologist in not my mechanic

Had my first cardiac stress test after a heart event 1.5 years ago. A lot of angst going in, then when the technician said she needed a 146 pulse rate, I said to myself, self you are going to die.

If my mechanic said he was going to red line my car to see if things still worked, I would have said he was nuts and gone somewhere else.

Well step one on the tread mill, then step two, then step three, THEN STEP FOUR! When is this going to stop I say...

Well I passed, I'm alive, and everything is OK..

Been there, done that, A number of times now, each time a little harder with age!
Try it with lung disease on top of heart disease!
NOT EASY!
Goin on fourth heart specialist! Each one wants a FULL BATTERY OF TESTS!
The newest one wants to test every SIX MONTHS! The others were yearly.
I`ll die, I know I`ll die!

Ray, that doesn't make me feel good at all. I will have my first nuclear stress test in about 3 months after my heart attack. The analogy to having your mechanic redline your car holds true for me. My "friend" redlined the heck out of my TR6 for 60 seconds in 2nd gear. We found out what was wrong with it. He melted the cam! Hope my cardiologist doesn't try to redline me.
