She's looking rough, but in a good way.
All brake components are out, front & rear. All clutch hydraulics out. I'll try my hand at rebuilding the brake master and clutch master & slave units this weekend.
Got the brackets for the rear tube shocks sorted out, both front shocks were very low on fluid.
Front (V8) bushings next, then save my pennies for some new leaf springs.
New stuff in the dizzy, new wires, coil, plugs, oil, filters etc, rebuilt (I think) the HS4s. Replaced all the hoses and am ready to put the cleaned out radiator back in, when I eventually get the head back from the machine shop; new t'stat & water pump.
Shopping list is down to the following:
Leaf Springs.
Carpet.
Higher output alternator.
Whatever components are required to fix the unknown problem with the OD, that I'm not worried about yet.
The battery will be the last thing I buy.

I was expecting maybe to get her on the road by fall, but I think mid-late July looks promising.
Most of that time will be goofing with the brakes I'm sure.
I'm keeping my promise of this car never going to a shop for work.

Wow Barry, you are so far ahead of me I can't really come to grips...

Way to Go! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

Mid July would be very cool - my C will probably be done mid July as well... maybe in 2009! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Hydraulics were not that bad. I bent and replaced all my own lines and rebuild all cyls. Just time but well worth it for me. Cleanliness is key when rebuilding these parts.

Vince, those cylinders you sent came out the blaster lookin real good, it's what gave the inspiration to try rebuilding myself.
Had a good day in the garage today, on a roll....

Cool - glad I can help. Did you glass bead them or sandblast? What media did you use and did you remove the piston from the rod?
