Slammo Bammo Batman !!

Hurricane Ike caught me and the Mrs unawares yesterday.

Weekend on the south side of the island, out of touch.
4:00 AM Sunday our hotel room is bright as day from
electrical storms, howling wind and pelting rain.

We pack up and leave, not knowing we are driving in an
outer rain band of Ike with 60 mph winds.

Visibility dropped to 20 feet a few times as rain came
at us sideways. Mini-tornadoes dropping from the black/green
sky.

We got only a glancing blow and it was harsh.
So beware of this Ike; even if you're not in a direct
strike path.

best of luck,

d&w

Dale:

I was going to ask about the storm, but knew that you would keep us posted.
