Has anyone else experienced the problem of replacement points for a distributor not being able to close enough to achieve the required point gap?

Hey Ron....I haven't had that particular problem, but I have seen a lack of quality with many of the point sets that are out there. There are also differences between the early distributor points and the later, so perhaps you have a wrong set for your distributor??

The part number on the packaging was correct based on the Victoria British catalog.

It's interesting that "after market" points from both Moss and VB are $6.95 and $5.95 respectively. Lucas points from Moss are $32.95. VB does not offer Lucas points for the DM6 distributor, which is from an Austin-Healey 3000.
