My Ignition light on my 65 has decided it would like to stay on. I have checked the belts, wiring leads, battery connection. Is it a high possibility that a new set of brushes on the generator will set it straight? Has worked and charged great up till now.
Winter Goblins I guess.

Or... could be an issue with the regulator box. Have you check any voltages yet?

Haven't went that far yet, a little nieve about that can you give me some pointers, I do have a volt meter.

Try cleaning contacts in the regulator and if you can get at them check brushs in gen for ease of movement. [Flick them off the armature a couple times] Cars that sit tend to require such action's to free up gens and clean dirty conatcts.
Used to use a clean new dollar bill to wipe contacts!

Kurt.
