Ignition light

Should the ignition indicator light at the bottom of the tach have a colored lens similar to the red lens on the high beam indicator on the speedo? If so what color? I have a 1960 BT7. Anyone have any idea where/how to obtain a replacement?

Thanks, Rob

Hello Rob,
normally the main beam indicator is blue and the ignition warning light is red. I suspect finding the lens only will be difficult, you may have to locate a second hand unit.

Try dismantling the tacho and looking inside. On both the Healeys I've owned these lenses were missing but I found them in the bottom of the casing out of sight!
