... you might has well go all in. It's really not a Sprite but a thing very well bodied with a Sprite.

That is amazing - that is probably as neat a transformation as I have ever seen. I feel like this is right up Anarchy99's alley (haven't seen him around lately) - I am particularly impressed that there doesn't seem to be a massive transmission hump pushing people aside. Quite a project!

That is an amazing build, I am in awe of it. I've put a 289 and a 5 speed into an AH 3000 and that was a tight fit, I can't picture shoehorning a hemi into a bugeye.

We saw it at the Open Roads 2002 Austin Healey Conclave at Lake Tahoe. Beautiful car well put together. I'm not sure which engine was in but it certainly wasn't a 4-banger.

It was a V10 Hemi. It wasn't quite done at Open Roads, but it was driven (and heard!). Amazing work.

Adding to my original post... in case one didn't watch the video all the way through... the car is really isn't anything Bugeye except the body. The frame and suspension are truly amazing (substantially hand-made) things. It's had several V8s over the years.

Did watch it all, the engineering that went into it is stellar.

... but probably pretty good torque.
