TR6 If I put a rover V8 in TR6 what trans can I use?

I have a running TR6 and an extra car that I'm either going to sell it, part it or break it up for my spare parts ooorrrr, put a Rover V8 in if for grins and giggles. It's got rust problems on all four fenders and the floors so if I found some fiberglass fenders and a V8 it would not like I'd really messing with a fine car. I've had the car for years and hate to break it up and I've always toyed with the V8 idea. The question is what kind of manual transmission would bolt up to a Rover V8? I've seen several Land Rovers on Craigs List being parted out so an engine should be easy to get but I want a manual trans that would easily bolt up.

You can use a Rover five speed. You will need to source a TR7 or TR8 gearbox and clutch slave, v8 bellhousing, flywheel, and clutch. A complete Rover set up will run around 800 to a grand. You also can use a T-5. You will have to source an old GM bellhousing. You will still need a rover flywheel and clutch. You will also have to run an anular sleeve style throw out/slave cylinder that mounts inside the bell housing. Either way, you are looking at one of the high dollar exspences associated with a v8 swap. There are more by the way. "Throwing in" a Rover V8 isn't as easy as it sounds, even in a car that came from the factory with them as an option.
