MGB Identifying a MGB Transmission

I acquired what I believe is a MGB transmission when I bought a lot of Midget parts. Could anyone tell me how to identify it? If so I’ll put it in the classified section for free if someone can use it. I’m pretty sure it isn’t an OD unit, sorry. Any help would be appreciated.

With out a picture it could be difficult. Suggest you check a Moss MGB catalogue, or go on line, [Moss have their catalogues on line], and do the basic comparison there. Here a quick overview of MGB transmissions. There were three [3] basic transmssions, 1] early [ based off an MGA] non syncro 1st small O/D, 2] mid full syncro larger O/D and 3rd] late or last - same as version #2 but with oil level dip stick changed to fill plug on side and different speedo gears inside.

Regards, Bob
