I think this is a snugtop, but it has not definite markings.

I would like to replace the seals, so I need to know for sure.

It is missing the rear seal altogether, but appears it needs something quite thick to protect the paint where it does meet.

the door seals appear to be integral with the front header rail..

I am attaching two pictures.

any help would be appreciated

I too think it is a snugtop. It is different than my works top.

perhaps another approach, does anyone have pics of a snugtop they can post or send me? Want to know if I should purchase the snugtop rear seal ($110) or fab my own..

Thanks!

And as to why I would want one? Let's see.. ridiculously easy to install, plus I just added 40+ rain days to my drivability!! I'm goin' year round now!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/savewave.gif

I've got a snugtop, too. Yours looks like one. One way to tell snugtop from factory is that snugtop does NOT have any retaining clips in the rear to attach to the back of the car...rather it only has impressions to fit over the rear deck clips that hook onto the soft-top. I also understand that unlike factory tops - whose seals fit into a c-channel, the snugtop seals are glued into place.

I too am looking to replace my rear seal and am not enamored by paying $110 to Macgregor for a seal (the company certainly seems to be very reputable, it's just that that's a lot of money for a piece of rubber!).

BTW, your second picture does not appearr to be showing.

Ican almost guarnte it is a snug top. Ihave one that looks exactly the same that says snug top. I also need new rubber where do you get it, snug top no longer makes it.

This is what I've found for a Snugtop seal supplier. They manufacture their own replacement seals.
MacGregor

Anyone used them?

There is a thread on Mgcars.org.uk( sorry for the cross post) on Snugtop hardware. check it out.

I have that same top on my car. I'm at work ATM though. I'll look at it and see if i can get any information from the plates on the inside on my way home.
