Ideas for removing retaining ring?

I need help. I am trying to dissassemble the brake master cylinder, but the ends of the circlip retaining ring have corroded off. There is nothing to grab on to. Any ideas?

There is very little to work with. Regretably, the rest of the ring doesn't look corroded at all. Turns freely around.

The only bright idea I have come up with is to cut the push rod off and run an end mill around and try to machine out what is left of the ring. I was going to replace the push rod anyway.
 
Do you have a tiny Dremel bit that you can get down in the cylinder to cut the circlip in half?
 
That is why I asked you guys. I didn't think of that. A little more finesse then using the mill. Thanks.
 
David, Let us know how you made out! I had one that the plastic guide ring wouldn't move freely, so I drilled two small holes, one on each side of the shaft and inserted a long sheet rock screw in each hole and pulled the bushing out. A new plastic bushing came with my rebuild kit from Moss.PJ
