I've located a set of SU carbs that I'm thinking about buying and I would like to verify that these are the correct carbs. Thanks

Can you measure them or do you only have pictures?

They are HS? where ? is probably "2" or "4". If the intake throat measures 1-1/4" [32mm] they are HS2s, if it's 1-1/2" [38mm]they are HS4s.

From the look of them, I'd say they are HS2s off a Spridget.
 
There's a tag on one of the dashpot screws-what does it say? Compare the number to the Moss catalog to see it they are for a B
 
I don’t have access to the carbs only the pictures. I think I'm going to pass on them since I cant be sure of what they actually are. They are on eBay if anyone’s interested for 150 bucks. Ebay Auction

Hi Stewart, Send the seller an E-mail and ask what model the carbs are and what car did they come from. Judging by the picture the PCV Valve says they are MGB units---Keoke
 
You're probably right that those carbs are for a "B". I was noticing the mounting hole spacing on the manifold flanges. That does look more "B-like" to me as the A-series manifolds are a little more cramped for space. I'm sure that PCV valve was used on the "B", it was used on most BMC and Triumph cars after about 1964.
