About one year ago a local coffee shop went over to Europe and purchased a Citroen HY Van, then converted it into a coffee truck... I first saw photos of it (that a friend took) at a June car show... I have since heard of numerous sightings of it from "other" people, not me! :rolleyes2:

Just to rub salt in the wound, a friend of mine who is clueless about what a Citroen HY Van is, spotted it downtown today while I was working at the "far from downtown" warehouse I work at, and I still haven't seen it yet! :blue:

And with winter on the way, my odds are going down... It looks like I'll have to play the odds next year...

Idea: call the coffee shop and ask where the van is - and tell them you're hungry!

How does a coffee shop get on a 'plane?

It wouldn't surprise me if the coffee shop had the truck location on their website. We have several websites and apps for LA. food trucks.

I'm still wondering why they would have gone to Europe to get a Citron, when they could have gotten an IH Metro in Canada.:wink-new:

There is another local restaurant that runs an IHC Metro as a food/ice cream truck, this one... It is a food truck...

Now that's what I'm talking about, that is a really slick looking ice cream truck.

There is a mobile donut ship here in Chicago that uses an HY. I have pics but they're on my phone.

If I recall right the bodies were built in Conn.
