Eight Seconds
Composed By AweMan

I climbed up on the chute, my hands in a sweat
Wasn`t ready to ride that big Bull, not just yet !
Set my rope an pulled it up tight
I was wondering if everything would turn out right
Rosened my glove an slid it on my right hand
Sat down on that Bull and looked up into the stands
What did I see,`bout a six year old cowboy clapping his hands
Slid my hand in the loop, griped it real tight
Knew this was gonna be one heck of a fight
Pulled down my hat, nodded my head an called em outside
Knew this was gonna be one heck of a ride
Wondered if he`d throw me down on my head
Or i`d go the full eight seconds instead
They opened the gate an what did I see
Nuthin but air, this big Bull an me
He spun to the left, he spun to the right
Then leaped off the ground right into pure filght
Twistin an turnin with all of his might
I knew right then I was in for a fight
Looked to the crowd an what did I see
That six year old cowboy justa grinin at me
Made three more jumps when he came back down
An I was a lookin for them Bullfightin Clowns
Ripped my hand from the rope, I flew through the air
But that was allright, I really didn`t care
I heard the eight second whistle an knew I was there
As I walked over to pick up my hat
I heard a small voice from behind my back
I turned around and what did I see
That six year old Cowboy justa grinin at me
He had no perception of what it took to win
He just hollered out ----- Hey Cowboy ride em again!

Nice work, Kerry. Thanks for sharing.
