TR6 I think I got a compliment on the TR6 today

I had to do jury duty today at the county court house.
I came back outside and there was a note on my TR6.
A guy wanted to buy the car or trade a 1980 Porsche 911 SC in excellent condition for it. I gave him a call for the heck of it.
He's going through a divorce and has bad memories in regards to the 911 and has always like Triumphs.

I told him I just got her running and wasn't interested in trading or selling right now.
I don't know Porsche and was thinking of 914's. A 911 is a different car. Good thing the wife thinks they look ugly. Helps keep the temptation down.
Although to trade even then sell the Porsche, might fund a nicer TR6. Get thee behind me, Satan.

Porsche's are nice mark, but his probably needs work and yours is done.

I had a 79 911SC Targa. Nice car but I liked my 73 even better. The 79 was fast and fun.

My boss just got a new Carrerra S coupe. It is scary fast.....and his second one.

The new porsches are no fun. Traction control and stability assist makes driving them too easy.

The SC cars are pretty good. But any Porsche is an expensive car to own and maintain. And it may have been the seeds for his divorce. All things equal, I'd rather have the TR.

what the difference between a porcupine and a porche?

the pricks are on the outside of a porcupine............

sorry basil.

Like you I almost did the Porche this too. But decided to Stay with the TR line of Triumphs. The racing heritage and easier to work on and I can have a garage full of Tr's verses one nice Porche.

However I'm going to look at a Spitfire on Thursday and if I ask Satan to get behind me he might say it looks good from this angle too and I'll probably buy it.
