I have absolutely nothing to do with this car, however, I thought it may be of interest to someone here. The ebay bidding is at over $56,000, way too steep for me. Hope it is real for that kind of money. Anyhow, you may already know of it just thought i would share.............Doug

1956 Austin Healey LeMans

Austin Healey Factory 100/M. Heritage Certificate. Nice project.

Wow. That is a clean 'M' (too bad about the boot lid and rear shroud). The original CA plates probably add a couple grand of value. Good luck finding a tach for it, though.

Wonder if Tom Kovacs will snatch this one up, too.

Like Bob just said above, Tom Kovacs got the last one Dan had for sale, believe he paid $70,000 for it based on what a friend of mine was told who also was looking at the older ebay listed 100M. Either way, Dan sure has the knack ! This one looks pretty solid but obviously needs a complete restoration. Be interesting to see what it sells for ! Probably finds Cobras in barns too !
Regards,
Mike

The eBay listing for BN2L 232874 leaves a lot of unanswered questions. How extensive is the rear end damage, is only the boot lid damaged? Does the engine serial number match the chassis number? Does the distributor have a correct 100M part number marked on its body? Why is there is no BMIHT certificate shown in the listing? Does the splash apron’s body number match the body number on the other parts? Also, the side curtains and cold air box appear to be missing.
