TR2/3/3A I saw a 59 TR3 today with an aluminium windscreen!

What is the story with the aluminium frame?

It's my understanding it was an option in the early, TR2 days. I have no idea how many were made, though.

My TR3A has an aluminum frame. I have no idea if it is original to the car or a replacement frame.

It was original in post TS60 000 cars. Sometimes a PITA anything screwed into it quickly strips threads

Ah, the frame. I was thinking perhaps we finally discovered the formula for transparent aluminum!

Hi, The aluminum frames predate TS60,000. I have one and I am not sure the reasons for its use.
