I'm going on a trip to the U.S.A from the end of November to the middle of December.

I'm looking for car shows or good museums or factories in the U.S.A (Preferably in or near california).

thanking you in advance.

Re: I need information about car shows in the U.S.

The two most prominent automotive museums in the LA area are The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles and The Nethercutt Collection just north in Sylmar.

There are always plenty of gearhead activities going on around So Cal. The best source for finding out what's going on is a local magazine called Miss Information's Automobile Calendar of Events. Unfortunately they don't have any online presence. They are strictly a print medium. They can be reached at:

Miss Information's Automobile Calendar of Events, 6475 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 375, Long Beach, CA 90803
phone- (714) 229-9100

I usually pick up (free, but slightly out of date) copies of Miss Information's locally at the Automotive Road of Dreams Museum here in Orange County (just south of LA) at the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. (It's a nice but very small collection so you probably won't want to come down just for it. If you do come down to the neighborhood it may be worth dropping in.)

Speaking of Orange County, one of the best car "events" in So Cal isn't officially on display or scheduled at all. It started with some gearheads just driving their cars for coffee early on Saturday mornings. That's basically all there is to it but it's pretty amazing what and who shows up. Somebody started calling them the Donut Derelicts and it stuck. Here's one description .

Good luck, and have fun here in the US! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/patriot.gif
