I need a Lucas sticker

Hi all, treated my self to a Lucas Sports coil, at least they sell it as a Lucas. Anyway the only one they had the Lucas sticker across the bracket was slapped on crooked across the clamp & part of the coil, so I tried heating it to remove & reposition, of course it tore.

Anyway, a little thing I know, but I would at least like to slap a Lucas sticker on the coil or something as it's just plain gold with a white top.

So, anyone got a 1-2" Lucas decal/sticker they could provide me with?

I think that you can buy replacement decals from TRF, but they may come in a set. You'll have to talk to the second level group about those, because they don't appear in the normal glove box catalog, but rather in the old green and blue books. That is, if you don't have the old green or blue books, like me at the office, as I type this.

Here is one you can print if you wish. After it's printed lay a piece of packing tape or such over it to laminate it, then trim it and use 2-sided tape or rubber cement or whatever to affix.

Not waterproof so it won't last forever so maybe you'll want to make a couple of spare. Better than nothing.

You were too quick for me. The only way I have found to include an image is to post the message then go into edit and add the image. Maybe I'm missing something.

You should be able to put it in the quick reply . I do.Hit preview to see.

Of course if you're really obsessive you'll paint the coil body aluminum w/clear coat and the white top a dark red so it will look more like a period Lucas Sport Coil.

Almost sorry to admit that is what I did (twice).

Couldn't you just print that onto a clear or white decal paper? I think that Kodanja or Tom does exactly that for their projects. There is adhesive already on one side of that material.

Thanks George:

I think I can grab that image & do something with it.

You know it just p%%%s me off when the quality of little stuff like this doesn't exist any more.

I sold lots of Lucas stuff back in the mid 70's don't remember what color they were; or are you talking older?

Got a photo of yours?

Thank you!

Scott,

I just checked my Lucas Sport Coil and the label is green and looks different than that one. I think that may be for the original coil.

I know, the orig is green, can anyone help me out with poss a generic Lucas decal. I have some orig Cibie, Large Castrol & other vintage decals from back when I was in the parts buiss; I can reciprocate.
