I would love to invite a few really shiny TR's to our Blue Ribbon Concours area of the Iola Old Car Show this July.

If you have a really nice 'STOCK' TR up to the year 1975 and you would like to show your car next to some of the nicest vintage autos in America (Duesenbergs, Packards, Pierce Arrows plus many more classic and vintage cars) -please send me a PM.

The Blue Ribbon area is an invitation only part of the show and we would love to have you...

I don't have a really shiny TR so I don't want to be in that section but I am planing on attending the show with my driver TR6. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/driving.gif

Well you certainly are welcome with your TR6. I don't have a fancy TR, either. We do have the 'International Alley' section on Sunday or you can show in the regular post-war area Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The regular entry fee for the show is $15.00...that gives two passes for the weekend. If you have any friends coming along I may be able to help out with a couple of free passes.

Let me know. You can call me at my direct line anytine 715-445-4149

That sounds really good. I will let you know if more passes are needed.
I did attend the show for the first time last year and really never got out of the vendors section. It is huge!
I hope that you will be getting more vendors with parts for LBCs. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

It is BIG...over 4400 swap spaces, 1800 camping spaces, over 300 acres...138,000 people attended last year!

A couple of years ago a pre-60000 'barn-find' TR-3 sold for $600.00 in the swap on Thursday..I missed it by five minutes.

You'll find LBC parts on occasion...mostly wire wheels, SU's and a few bits. more vendors do have this stuff but rarely bring it to Iola because they perceive a lack of demand. I've found TR2 long doors, trunk lids, a grille and a few more bits over the years.

I've been selling here for 15 years and also found it hard to get to the show area because I was so busy at my swap spots. There have been years when I never set foot in the show area... This year my son will takeover primary management of my swap spaces since I have to work during the show.
