I need a dimension on a front shock for BJ8

If someone has a front shock off their car, I need the perpendicular distance from the centerline of the hole in the arm that attaches to the suspension to the base of the shock when the arm is as high as possible. Extend the arm to its hightest position, with the shock on a flat surface measure the distance from the centerline of the hole to the surface. Thanks for your help.

Checked mine, from a BJ8. It too is 6.5 inches on a freshly rebuilt (by Denis Welch) one not yet installed.
