This is in regard to the patent label under the hood (bonnet).
See attached pic...

I was scrubbing the underside of the bonnet and I mangled the patent label that is on the underside of the hood.

Does anyone have a pic of theirs (un-mangled please...).

Thanks!

Makes sense to me as it's around when TR5s 1st appeared and yours is a late 4A. My 4A CT667xx doesn't have one but again hood are swapped so who knows.

Where under the hood (bonnet) is the label located? I've looked, but may be looking in the wrong area. My TR was repainted at age six months, but not under the hood (bonnet)

Everyone , Thanks.
I was wondering anyone was as picky about these details.

I wanted to confirm there was an original TR4A at the Morgan Hill British Car Show last year that also had this same sticker. I was interested in this TR4A because it is an original black plate California car. It had an original interior as well with some cracking in the dash pad and wood dash, but still in really nice condition considering the age. I was glad that the current owner decided to keep vs replace these items.....only original once. I can post a picture as well but it is not as clear as the one posted here.

I owned a TR250 that I purchased from the original owner with 58K miles on it back in the early 80's. It also had a sticker on the inside of the bonet (sp?). It was located in the same place though the stick material was different. On a side note, I sold the car regrettably right before the 1989 earthquake since it was required it to pass the smog test in California and was difficult to pass. Now a non issue as it is now exempt. I wish I had kept it but did end up purchasing the 1962 TR4 that I currently own. The money from the TR250 did help fund the TR4 restoration.

One came on my August 31, 1966 TR4A (CTC72159LO) so they started putting them on the TR4A's at some point.
