If there's anyone as ancient as me ... tonight CBS is showing two "colorized" I Love Lucy shows. One is Lucy's Christmas; second is their trip to Rome.

Should be fun.

Yep and It's a Wonderful Life is on NBC tonight as well.

I was a freshman in high school when this came out. We have a copy of it on DVD. What a hilarious movie!:highly_amused:

What's the car (make, model, year) pulling that trailer?

The stock 53 didn't have enough power to pull that trailer up some of the steep slopes and they used a Lincoln with a little more horse power for the long shots, slightly modified to look like the Mercury convert. If you watch the movie very closely, in some quick shots, you can pick out where the Lincoln was used on the steep pulls. If you didn't know that, you'd never notice it. PJ

I finally decided to buy IAWL (High Def). Now I can watch it whenever the mood strikes.

WHAT?! And miss out on all those wonderful commercials???

One year, IAWL was playing on satellite as well as a local station (unaffiliated) at the same time......there was about a 90 difference in the screens. I had fun playing with my wife's mind, switching to and from the stations....with repeats of the same scene....she thought she was going nuts until she finally caught me "mid-switch"...

As for the colourized versions of ILL...I watched...but there was just something wrong. ILL needs to be in B&W.

We watched Lucy last night too! Fun!

I Yi Yi Yi Yi!

Was that in Italian? or Spanish? :jester:

Edit: those two Lucy episodes sure point out how "family friendly" TV was, back in those days. Today ... not so much.

As stated before, we have it on DVD, but it is the original B&W version. The colorized version just doesn't cut it for me. PJ
