you are not going to want to hear this but I have found a NOS in orginal box bugeye luggage rack. No price yet but sounds promising.

That's because no one else one these boards but you wants one for their bugeye /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/banana.gif Go for it! and of course pics.

Was at my club tonight and one of the folk there has a late 50's vintage Austin Cambridge Countryman (wagon) one of about 13 that they know of in the world. He was able to source NOS inner fenders (wings) from England. it always amazes me.

Buy it....keep it in the box....on a shelf....way up high...out of sight & mind!

It's your Bugeye, do what you want with it, make it yours.

Just don't come near Tunebug with that rack thingie... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

jACK IT'S TOUGH...BOUGHT OIGINAL RACK WITH The nice ROUNED
corners....drilled the holes(man that's like pulling teeth for me) and mounted it...it does look nice, sdds some shine
and character, but still like the smooth sleek look of nothing there at all...contemplating being able to take off at times and find some rubbr plugs that I can pop into the
bolt holes in trunk lid.

I would say I'm surprised that anyone could find a NOS luggage rack, but considering it's Jack (again) I'd be lying... You're gonna have to tell us your secret one day, we could get a whole fleet of NOS Sprites on the road!!

I have told the guy about this place and asked him to come and post, shrug.

Wonder what else he has, I know he is holding a set of wind wings for me. Wanted some of those since 1964 by gosh. No drilling to install them.

I also have an OOS (old old stock) luggage rack I got back in 73 when I got the car. It's never been put on and I probably never will since I won't drill holes for it. Now the chrome isn't looking too good anymore. So it just sits in my shed.

I know it sounds lame, but I won't drill holes in the car, except for drilling out the spot welds that hold the car together. DUH
