Wow, very sad to hear that! FT is still, to this day, my favorite TV show ever. I have the entire series on my Apple TV library.

Here are a few fav moments with Manuel:

"Please, please! Try to understand before one of us dies!

Mrs Richards: Now, I've reserved a very quiet room, with a bath and a sea view. I specifically asked for a sea view in my written confirmation, so please make sure I have it.Manuel: Que?
Mrs Richards: What?
Manuel: Que?
Mrs Richards: Que?
Manuel: Si
Mrs Richards: C? K.C?, K.C? What are you trying to say?
Manuel: No no, Que What
Mrs Richards: K Watt?
Manuel: Si, Que - What
Mrs Richards: C K Watt?
Manuel: Yes!
Mrs Richards: Who is C K Watt?
Manuel: Que?
Mrs Richards: Is he the manager, Mr Watt?
Manuel: Ah, Manager!
Mrs Richards: He is?
Manuel: Ah, Mr Fawlty!
Mrs Richards: What?
Manuel: Mr Fawlty
Mrs Richards: What are you talking about, you silly little man?
Mrs Richards to Polly: What's going on here? I asked him for my room, and he tells me the manager is a Mr Watt, age forty.
Manuel: No no, "Faaawlty"
Mrs Richards: Faulty? What's wrong with him?

He certainly added a lot to the shows. But I have to admit my favorite was still Polly (for different reasons of course).

"Is HAMSTER!"

Always loved the scene were Basil thumps him on the head while saying "Manuel, you're nothing but a waste , of , space."

In the show where a fire breaks out in the kitchen, Manuel come out of the pitching with his arm smoking. That was some chemicals making the smoke effect, but Andew Sach's arm was not adequately protected and he suffered 2nd degree burns.
