TR2/3/3A I just found the LARGEST bolt on a TR3A

It is about 12 inches long and 1/2 in diameter. It was stuck in the front bar with electrical tape around it to keep it in the front tube that supports the crank guide. I don't know what they were going to attached to it but that electrical tape would have worked for a short while.

Sounds like a spare muffler bearing bolt to me. Is it left hand or right hand hand threads? If it's a left hand bolt it just might fetch a good price on eBay.

It's used in the distributor to hold the newest type of Pertronix in place.
 
Based on recomendations from Pat, I used it to bang out a dent that I could not reach with anything else.

I got the drivers floorboard cut out yesterday. What a pain! I was going to do a little rust clean up outside but it looks like rain. I will weld on cage nuts instead.

I believe that is the mainshaft clutch bolt and goes from the crank pulley all the way through the transmission to the rear end. I removed mine and the whole drivetrain fell apart. Careful!
