I just don't get it! Moss carpet question

I just got the Moss carpet kit for my Bugeye, but can't figure out how the rear piece fits (see picture). The far left top section of this panel is unfinished, so I would not think it would go on top of the wheel well carpet section. But the bottom of the wheel well section is unfinished also, so I do not think it would go on top either. There is also an L-shaped piece that you see sitting there to the right that is supposed to go on the wheel well step (??), but I have no idea where they want you to put this. Anybody done this Moss kit recently, or have a picture of this section on your car? Thanks, Jim

I did my BE last year from Moss, same color. I never figured how the piece was supposed to fit as provided over the wheel wells. I just custom cut it and glued it down. Was meaning to tell Moss, but did not.

Mine looks just like that, however the seat covers all.

The "L" shaped piece covers the inboard frame rail between the footwell and the tunnel. The top is sort of triangular shaped on the horizontal. The rest of the piece folds down over the vertical surface toward the floor. The floor mat piece hides the edge.

Thanks for the tips. I may try to have some trim sewn on the edges that Moss seemed to overlook, if my local trim shop can match the edging. I am surprised that the pieces that go under the seat don't have a finished edge either. I guess you get what you pay for, although the Moss kit was not cheap. Jim

And thanks, Gerard. I noticed that the area you are talking about was left exposed, but did not figure out that the extra piece of carpet went there. Jim

Smac, I really like what you did with your top bow mounts. I see a modification in Miss Agathas future. Thanks for that.
