I havent been on in some time (wb, me!!), but i took out my heater box and painted it nice and black. The thing inside with the fins has some pretty rusted fins. I think someone said give it a vinegar bath?? what kind of vinegar? or shoudl i use naval jelly against it? thanks!

the thing inside the heater box is the heater core. Basically a radiator. The best thing to do would be to take it to your local radiator shop and have them go through it. shouldn't be very expensive . they can clean it and test it and repair it if needed.
