Whew! We just spent the day installing a new dash pad with gauges and switches. Man, that's a job! We teflon coated the whole interior after scraping, sanding and even having to weld a few patches. Now that we have some gauges we can get back to seeing if we can get it running.
Here's hoping I got it all wired back up correctly, but it looks good!

Beautiful dash!!!!! What steering wheel is that? I like the small MG center cap. What is the black stuff you've painted the interior with? What color is the car going to be when done?

The steering wheel is a Momo wheel. We got it with the hub and all off of e-bay. It was not in very good shape, and I am still working on it. (That's why its taped up in blue tape)
We are still discussing the color. I like the blue but my husband would like it a little darker blue. We'll see. We gotta get it running first, it doesn't have an exhaust at, so a monza exhaust is also on the list. It also needs new brakes and rotors.
Maybe I'll make it run like a scalded dog and drive it around in primer gray until we can agree on a color

Great looking work. It is kind of satisfying when things start coming together.

Oh, that's a preaty blue.

Terry,
If you take the steering wheel off when replacing the dash that's cheating. You have been debited two points, don't let it happen again. For your penance you will install the the new exhaust system while leaving the carbs in place.
That'll teach ya.

I like the color it was originally painted in. Not a big fan of dark blue on a MGB, and more of a fan of the original color on all cars unless, well its beige or brown...

P.S. sorry if someone was offended by the color comment.

Lots of work there.... Feels good, doesn't it? Definitely worth it when done - that looks great.
