I have a new bug fogger

So we did the big run this weekend with Big Healey and the wifes 1966 Sprite for our 100 mile trip.
Made it to the farm, pulled the hood on the Sprite and we had pushed a bunch of oil out the dip stick tube. The Sprite has 1275 cc engine with little to no crankcase venting. The dipstick hole has a little tube that raises the dipstick and has a secondary tube off it with a hose that leads to the valve cover and off to air cleaner. Pure junk so I added a PCV to the manifold then to valve cover. It seemed to stop blowing out oil. Capped off the dip stick vent and all seemed well on our test run. Added a can of oil since the stick showed low, first mistake I think.
Today we went to leave noticed a bit of smoke as wife started her Sprite short drive up the street and we had a new bug fogger with lots of smoke. Back to the farm to park the little beast and load the wife and two kids into the big Healey for the 100 mile drive home. Dad is going to drain the oil in the Sprite. Maybe way to much since the dipstick tube has had a mod.
What I really need is a timing cover with vent tube. Anyone got one that they are willing to part with?

Mark-It could be that the PCV system is pulling it oil vapor into the intake. Mine does that about three miles from home any direction, and PRESTO! mosquito's worst nightmare. I'm going to fit an oil catch can from Jegs on mine next week. It captures the oil vapor and settles it down so it doesn't go into the intake.

0n my 67' the 1275 PCV system was disconnected (by PO) because it would smoke out a city block - It's the style system that has the can off the front of the timing chain cover then up to the large disc style pcv valve direct into the intake - upon inspection I noticed that the spring had been removed from the exisitng PCV valve, ordered complete PCV valve hooked it up & have not had a problem since.

That's the type of pcv I hooked up to rocker cover vent. I really need to find a front chain cover with the vent.

Any ideas where I could find one guys?

Mark,

That's your problem, need to pull vacumn with the proverbial "Gulp Valve", DPO on Bugsy took the Vent Tube from the Timing Cover and stuffed a 3/8" 4" extension bar into it, also plugged up other end going into manifold with an old sparkplug. Starting up this 1098 yielded the Exxon Valdez in my garage after only running a few minutes. The "Gulp Valve" also does something to turn vacumn on/off to keep it at a certain level. Draw too much vacumn = mosquito fogger, too little and oil out through the rear of the engine.
