1050 front chain cover arrived, nice condition and the price was right, Thanks Mike. Check in the mail monday.

My air compresser seized. Time for a new one, darn it. That was supose to last my life time. So I did not get it blasted and painted today and my bud with a blast box is not at home, sigh.
 
went to sears and got a new one, hehe. So the job did get done.
 
You do what you gotta do. At least you got to buy something fun from Sears today. Me, I just bought a new dishwasher from them today. Not nearly as fun.

So Jack which one did you pick up. I keep looking for one of the Black Professional Models 120VAC 2 stage that are being closed out 5.9 CFM @ 90 PSI. No room for a 220 VAC model in the garaqge plus no 220 VAC out there.
 
Got a small one, I have a Bugeye. Small jobs.
 
Make sure that the gasket surface is nice and flat before you go and paint it.
I had to redo mine should have fit it up and looked closer .. glad you found one now one end IS sealed.
 
This one is preaty much like new now that I have painted it.

Front pully came right off as I had used ani seeze on the bolt. So all apart now and ready to reinstall with a real seal. Will also install Jeffs pointer and mark the pully for it so I can time from the top. Little jobs that mean so much. Also went to Ace yesterday and got stainless bolts for the generator remount, did a bit of touch up paint to the side of the engine. Guess I got it on too thin in a couple of places.
 
Engine work complete, Tranny tomorrow.

Rear: worked on oil seal that is invizable to me.

Front: 1059 timeing chain cover and seal. Clean clean clean, touched up engine paint, repainted generator, rehung with new stainless bolts. Installed Jeffs top of engine timeing pointer and marked.

Need to clean up some so I can start on tranny tomorrow, need to break it in half so I can remove 1 2 shift rod and get to the plunger properly. Hope it only takes a day so I can think about getting this thing back on the road for the Panama City Brit show the 16th. This will be Miss Agathas third year. Good show, good folks, excellent spot.

Forgot, also changed out the generator tensioner bracket for the correct one. I was cheeting till I found this on eBay.
 
Alright Jack it took us a year to get you to quit saying 1296 when you meant 1275 engine, so now we've got to nip this in the butt quick, it's a 1098cc engine not a 1059. Hey, but I still love ya :smile: :smile:
 
Hehe, 948, 1098, 1275, oh 100 times.
