I promised I'd post pictures when I got my 1974 MGB, and here I am to do just that!

Driving it was fun. Listening to it was fun. Smelling it was fun. And that's before I put the top down...

With the exception of the missing smog pump and associated plumbing it looks relatively "unbuggered"!!!

CONGRATULATIONS! Well bowled, Sir!

Looking good, the website .edu?

Thanks..and I'll have to look to see about this 'smog pump' thingy.

The .edu is because I'm using the webspace my college provides me with. (At least I think they've provided me with it...no one said it existed, and I just sort of stumbled on it one day.)

If you are exempt from testing and the car runs well, you're better off without it!

Well, frankly the car needs a tune-up, but if I don't have to strap some sort of emissions control device on my nice little engine, I won't! I'll find out when I do take it to get inspected, though.

VA has a "Safety Inspection" but do they test for emissions on a 30+ year old car? That would surprise me, but it's been at least that long since I had a "Buckroe Beach" address.

Yep, it's all good, ain't it?

Congrats!

Good looking car - I've always liked black. Makes a car look more sophisticated - and cool at the same time!

You haven't found your car yet, Soren? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

That is a fine looking B, Dash. Good luck with it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats and nice looking B.

I'm a computer science and computer security major, aeronca, but I'm actually transferring out of the school. The program itself is good, though.

Thanks again for all the words of praise! I'm sure to post a lot more on the forum, as there are a number of things I want to fix up on the car. And I like looking at lots of pictures when I view other posts, so I'll be sure to do that for my own.

Good purchase - congrats!

Sure is not a project car. Looks like showroom stuff.

Nice! A very fine example of what a LBC really is! Enjoy! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif
