We just got in from 4 days in Chicago. What a great city! Roman, I looked for your car but never saw it. For that matter, I didn't see one LBC. I was thinking what a great sound my Falcons would have made downtown with all those tall buildings. The B1B bomber from the air show sure rocked the place. We had a great time. Air show, deep dish pizza pie, Rosa's Lounge blues, Lake Shore drive, Oprah's skyscraper, Second City, etc., etc.....

Recommend it to everyone.

Still no LBC's.

Bill

Check us out at the giant jelly bean in Millenium Park.

Glad you enjoyed your stay here Bill. It was a great weekend to be in Chicago. Air and water show and great weather! I had my Triumphs out over the weekend, but not downtown.

On the subject of not seeing LBC's I was in London and south of there for a few days two weeks ago and was sorely disappointed. Sure there were little british cars, but not like the folks on this forum appreciate. Spotted a couple Morgans, but that was it. Was walking by pub with two new Aston Martin's parked in front. Local told me one of the TR's from this forum would draw a lot more attention than they did.

Hi Bill,
Glad you liked the city, and had so much to do this weekend.
Chicago is a big place and with all of the activities and hoards of people I opted to enjoy my TR on the open road! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Even though I have the Falcon sport exhaust I like the sound of it at 3 AM (thats about the only time traffic is light enough to open it up)in the canyon called LaSalle St in the financial district. It sounds too good echoing off of those buildings! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

It's funny you noticed that Bill. Sinatra never mentioned them in his song about Chicago either,

I would think it would sound pretty good roaring through Hubbard's Cave too! That is, if you have the nerve to drive it there. Personally, I don't relesh my face being at bumper height on the Kennedy.

I'll go anywhere downtown or on the Kennedy or Eisenhower late at night in my 6 but never during the day. Too many nuts driving cabs then! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
BTW: the echo on lower Wacker Drive is outstanding!

I was just thinking that there would be no way I would drive one of my LBC's in downtown Chicago after a few cab rides I've had there. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Especially the crazies in the white cabs with the push bumpers. If they are still around. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif
