The '67 MGB GT starter started acting weird -
problem with the solenoid.
I decided to pull the stater,& get it fixed.
This should be easy - but the bolts were in tight,
got that figured out.

- starter won't drop down - stuff in the way
- rubber gloves break (over & over)
- I'm having problems with an old Carpel Tunnell problem
my neck/shoulders hurt like h****
- the slave cylinder needs to be removed to get it out
- Get it to the shop - they called me when it was done
- They replaced the studs on the solenoid,& told me that
it needed a new solenoid,& would order one if I wanted
- Went to put the starter back in - shoulder PAIN!
- Got the starter in (finally!),just need to put the postive
cable on & wrap it up
- the stud on the starter is too big
- I stop,& walk away
- Come back,mess around for 45 + minutes,figuring out what
needs to be removed
- Remove nuts, get coil out of the way
- OOOPS!,have to unscrew bolt from brake junction to remove starter cable.
- Got it out
- The guy at the auto electric place is leaving on vacation for two weeks.
- Take the old cable home,& drill it out
- Car show on Saturday - will I make it?
- Forgot to mention the bloody knuckle from removing
the starter bolt
- New Band Aids every day
- This is why we pay people good money to work on our cars

Or CAB!

Got it in & hooked up (only about 1 more hour!),
hooked up the battery,and.....click,click,click,and...
Nothing.
At that point I admitted defeat and did the-
"Defeat Retreat".
